Yup, OMG where on earth am I going to put all the little ratties? Oh well, at least Andi gets to have her kids in a loving environment and not have them end up as snake food. I really am a little excited, just a little…

On House-Sitting

Two of my friends trusted me enough a couple of weeks ago to house-sit their place while they were away on holidays. I had a great time and really enjoyed looking after myself, keeping house and being a ‘grown up’. The best and worst aspect of this time I had was The Sims 3. I love video games and as I hadn’t ever played any version of The Sims the shiny box compelled me to have a go. So have a go I did.

To begin with I was on and off the game – I had to get used to the gameplay and how I was actually meant to progress over time. It was cool to make the house and before long I was living quite vicariously through my charater. She was a young woman, aspiring writer and a complete loner. Trying to deal with fitting everything she needed into the short day was hard and it distracted me from the ‘immersion’ I felt like I hated the game, I was very aware of its drawbacks yet I still continued to play.

Over the next few days I spent more and more time playing and I adapted new goals. Getting my little version of me sexed up and married. My character happened to meet a really rich guy and I moved on in with him into a three story house with everything all put together already. (Out of all the saved games mine was clearly the most elaborate)

My character then got preggers and had twins (I was regretting buying the ‘firtility treatment’ perk) for three whole ‘days’ all they did was feed and change nappies. This completely turned me off parenting and it seemed like such a long slog before I could start teaching them things and reaping the rewards.

Perhaps the knowledge that I would soon have to leave kept me playing and made me determined to make real progress. I soon put all my time and effort into making sure these people maxed out skills and achieved lifetime goals. I had two characters all done and dusted (almost dead) before it was the last day and I had to clean and tidy and look longingly towards the computer. That night I stayed up until 2am playing. The effect the next morning was that my brain had reset itself to follow the patterns of playing the game. In my half sleepy state I was queing actions, my brain was aware and commanding my body to do things without putting in the effort that I actually required. A few minutes later I was all reset and working properly again. Glad that the world wasnt like the sims.

Overall I would have to give the game 3 out of 5 stars. Not that I actually talked much about gameplay.

My beautiful little baby rat

Finally got her to sit still long enough to get a photo done – with my fly open (oh sexy)

We love having cuddles, even had a small nap together this afternoon! She is growing very quickly and soon I will be able to have her in the harness and take her for walks!

I am also so excited about having someone who read my first post! its so yay! I am working to make sure I get something smart and interesting to say but for now I will keep the momentum up and working on some bigger posts.

I actually let one of my friends know about this blog last night. I have tried to be really really super anonomous; I dont know why, maybe I some of my friends would find the reading interesting.

I have something else now. A pet rat. I have always wanted one, and have been thinking of it for a while. I have decided that YAY i really would like a rat. So I have one now.She is called Andromeda and she is the most beautiful rat ever. I was very lucky. So far she has not bitten once. Now all I have to do is some trust training.

As she is a new rat, newly from the pet shop I have to introduce new foods to her because so far she has turned her nose up even at carrot. I have gotten her to eat some corn and so far its her fave. That will have to be my training reward I think.

Haven’t had my medicine for a few days. As such I am pretty emo at the moment, Not even home from house sitting for a friend for a day and I am fighting with my neice and feeling all crappy. Missing my partner and bleh

At least I made it to second post. Thats never been done before.

I’m sure I will have something better to write about soon. Now I need to go write assignments I will hand in late and Exams I will completely freak out for.

What I have in the world is a whole lot of everything and a whole lot of nothing. I’m a Philosophy student at University and I wanna see how far I get with that. This blog has no direction because I know I would only end up changing my mind and starting a new one. Using up server space and wasting my time (though I really don’t mind a reason to procrastinate).

I will start with a list of things I have. Just because it seems to fit with the title of the blog. Maybe I will end up doing something actually interesting. Maybe not.

Here is a list of things I have;

- A loving relationship

- A pet cat and dog

- Depression

- Quite a few good friends

- A high school education.

- A place at university

- A mum, dad, two sisters, two nieces and nephews and heaps of extended family

- Physical fitness

- The need to loose weight

- No motivation

- A love of all things ‘geeky’

- A tropical fishtank and a goldfish bowl. Both of these are stocked.

- A long list of what I have.

- A blog to put it on

- Really no direction for the blog

- No readership (yet)
